Take a look at the final exhibition of artist Erik Aardema in the Batterij on the Sloterweg. Over the past two months, Erik was inspired by the history, architecture and environment of the Battery and the results are impressive.
Here, on the fields of the Haarlemmermeerpolder, a landscape of distribution centers, ditches and meadows is formed. In this area, the living environments of animals and plants collide with the rhythms and movements brought about by the new buildings. Erik observes these collisions from different perspectives and questions and processes them. By also examining his own work process and experimenting with new combinations of text, film and sculpture, Erik transforms the battery into a disruption in the landscape where new possibilities arise
