Home and garden experiments for children in Cruquius Museum on Tuesday, July 23

What is the effect of airflow and how do you float in water? Are these fun topics for children? Of course. The professors at MadScience know how to explain every difficult physics concept with home-and-garden experiments. And it's fun too. Come to Cruquius Museum on Tuesday, July 23, where the largest steam engine in the world is located, and participate in one of the workshops by the MadScience professors. 'Water Facts' for children from 4 to 7 and 'Under Pressure' for 6 to 12 years.

Many toddlers take swimming lessons and know that they can float with air bubbles. Some have already experienced that they feel heavier in the water with clothes on. How did that happen? Which materials float easily, which sink and which can absorb water well? Children will test this out during this 'Water Facts' workshop. The fantastic workshop is on July 23 at 11 am, for children aged 4-7 years, duration is 45 to 60 minutes. The costs are museum entrance + € 2,50 workshop surcharge. Parents only pay entrance to the museum, free entrance with a museum card.

The workshop 'Under Pressure' focuses on Daniel Bernoulli's law. The children experiment with high and low pressure and try to make objects float on an air stream. They extinguish candles remotely with a rotating air stream. And how does our breathing work? In short, a light-hearted, but well-filled workshop! On July 23 at 13.00:6 PM, for children aged 12 - 45 years, duration is 60-2,50 minutes. The costs are museum entrance + € XNUMX workshop surcharge. Parents only pay museum entrance, free with museum card.
