First edition Dutch Travel Blog Awards a great success!

The best travel bloggers of the Netherlands came together for the event in Haarlemmermeer. The day program consisted of a bus tour through the municipality (organized by Visit Haarlemmermeer), a panel discussion and a networking reception. The evening program was filled with a dinner and the award show.

A professional jury, consisting of Audrey Denkelaar (Corendon), Tamara Ernst (VisitBrabant), Isabel Mosk (Sherpa's Stories) and Hanita van der Meer (ANVR), chose the winners in 11 of the 12 categories. The winner of the 12th category, the Audience Choice Award, was chosen by the public. Two travel bloggers, Reispaatje and MTB Challenge, even won two awards! Alderman for Culture Marja Ruigrok presented the award for the Best Family Travel Story on behalf of Visit Haarlemmermeer. This prize went to Reishonger with the blog Holiday in southern Sweden with children.
