Beinsdorp: small but extremely cozy village in Haarlemmermeer

Beinsdorp is a small village between Nieuw-Vennep and Hillegom and has only around 1000 inhabitants. The name Beinsdorp is derived from the largest former island of the Haarlemmermeer. The other islands were Vennip, after which Nieuw-Vennep is named today, and Abbenes. The village is also known among horse lovers thanks to its riding school and hosts several annual events such as the Loca Live music festival.

Horse stables and riding lessons

In the municipality of Haarlemmermeer, every place of residence has its own iconic building by which you can recognize the place. You can recognize Beinsdorp by a horse. The beautiful riding school is located on the Hillegommerdijk in Beinsdorp Steal Jasper.

You can take lessons here, stable your own horse or pony and visit the shop. The riding school also organizes special activities such as courses and competitions. Tip for the kids: young children aged 5 to 10 can celebrate their birthday here.

Things to do in Beinsdorp

Beinsdorp has a friendly village atmosphere with fun activities and lovely places to relax. A highlight is the free music festival Local Live, organized by the village council and residents since 2007. During this festival, held annually on the final day of the Roland Garros tennis tournament, talented bands and musicians from Beinsdorp and the surrounding area perform.

In addition, you can enjoy delicious food in the village at Tasting room Bregje, where you can enjoy a drink on the terrace at Rietkraag when the weather is nice. Whether you come to admire the surroundings or to dance the night away at the Local Live festival at the beginning of summer, Beinsdorp is definitely worth a visit.
