The route starts in Weteringbrug, to be precise on the Leimuiderdijk. Via Burgerveen and Aalsmeer you first cycle towards Amsterdam, where you can admire the first statues.  

From Amsterdam you cycle on to Lijnden. This is where you arrive De Lynden pumping station, on the Akerdijk in Lijnden. This historic steam pumping station, together with the Leeghwater and Cruquius steam pumping stations, ensured the drainage of the Haarlemmermeer in 1849.

With Lijnden cycle through the polder landscape to Vijfhuizen. When you arrive here you will find it beautiful Kunstfort Vijfhuizen. As the name suggests, this is one of the forts that are part of the Defense Line of Amsterdam. In this special place, visual art and military heritage come together. Here you can view exhibitions, participate in workshops, but also enjoy a snack and a drink.

From Vijfhuizen you cycle on to the beautiful Haarlemmermeer forest. This green nature reserve is no less than 115 hectares in size and has special hiking trails where you can discover the diversity of nature. The forest also offers recreation for young and old. For example, there are several playgrounds for the smallest visitors and there is a play trail. Left of restaurant Dad's Beach House you will find a small playground on the water. Adults can enter the water from the terrace at Papa's Beach House themselves, for a nice swim or even paddle boarding! 

From the Haarlemmermeerse Bos you then cycle to Hoofddorp, where you will find the Fortress of Hoofddorp finds. There is much to experience at this unique location. For example, you can attend theater performances and concerts in the open-air theater and view exhibitions in this beautiful monumental building. You can also go to for a delicious lunch or dinner restaurant Fort NOXX.
