The origin of the Houtrak Golf Club 

In the early 90s, a group of avid golfers wanted their 'own' golf course. And it had to be one of the best courses in the Netherlands. The golf course in Halfweg was spaciously set up for the real golf enthusiast. The challenging landscaped holes from 1996 quickly became known. Within ten years the first big game came to the club. The European Challenge Tour followed a year later. Houtrak also experienced rapid developments in the sporting field. In 2004, Houtrak won the title in the majors and then became the only Dutch club to date to become European Champion.
