Fishing in Haarlemmermeer: ​​discover the best places to cast your fishing line!

The Toolenburgerplas is located in Hoofddorp, a beautiful lake located in a recreational area of ​​over 85 hectares. The nature of the Toolenburgerplas is allowed to take its course here. The shallow, swampy areas form an ideal bottom where fish feel completely at home. This lake is therefore the ideal place to cast your fishing line. Many different types of fish swim here: pike-perch, roach, eels, pike, perch and even catfish. Would you prefer to fish at night in peace and quiet? That's allowed here too! Are you coming by car? Then you can easily park in one of the parking lots on the IJweg. 

Houtrak recreational area is part of the Spaarnwoude nature reserve. This green area has a large pond with several ditches attached to it. All kinds of fish swim in these waters. Common fish species are: carp, bream, pike, pike-perch, roach, rudd, rudd, rudd and perch. In addition to fishing, this is also an ideal place for walking the dog. So you can just bring your four-legged friend along for some company! It is also allowed to fish here at night. Parking is available in the car park on Houtrakkerweg.

The Haarlemmermeerse Bos is a beautiful green oasis of approximately 115 hectares. The large lake is the ideal location for fishing. There is a good chance of catching fish, especially at the jetties. Many species of fish swim here all year round. Think of carp, eels, whitefish, pike, pike-perch, tench, roach and catfish. Please note: fishing is only allowed here in the large lake and the surrounding ditches. So you are not allowed to fish in the spartel pond or the other smaller ponds. You are allowed to fish at night. Parking is available in two parking lots: along the Drie Merenweg and on the IJweg.

Beautiful Nel is located next to Spaarndam. This spot is popular among anglers. The lake is a widening of Binnen Liede and flows into the Spaarne. It is the place to be if you want to catch pike, perch or carp. It is also allowed here to fish at night. If you come by car, you can park it at the Karperpad, on the Beautiful Nelweg or in the center of Spaarndam.

The Boseilanden consists of two areas with water, namely behind Floriande in Hoofddorp and an area towards Vijfhuizen. Different rules apply to these two areas. Fishing is not allowed behind Floriande. It is allowed at Vijfhuizen. Furthermore, you are not allowed to fish here at night. Carp, eels, whitefish, pike, pike-perch, tench, roach and catfish swim in the area. Parking is available in the parking lot on Drie Merenweg and Stelling.

This recreational area with forests, water features and wide watercourses with natural banks connects to the Haarlemmermeerse Bos and the larger recreational area Spaarnwoude Park. It is a quiet area where you can relax and relax with your fishing gear. Fishing is permitted in many of these waters and there are many fish species that also live in the Haarlemmermeerse Bos lake. Fishing at night is not allowed here. Parking is available on the Drie Merenweg and on the Stelling road.
