Swimming in Haarlemmermeer

At SKWA you can swim in Hoofddorp in a beautiful indoor pool. You will find no less than four different swimming pools here: a recreational pool – with two slides, a bubble bath and various smaller pools for the kids with a depth of 10, 20 and 40 centimeters – a target group pool, a combination pool and an official competition pool including grandstand for 500 people. At SKWA you will also find three different catering areas where you can relax after swimming laps.

For a nice swim in Nieuw-Vennep, you've come to the right place at De Estafette swimming pool! In this beautiful indoor swimming pool you will find a large competition pool, a target group pool, a water playground for the children, but also outdoor pools and an extensive fitness room where you can work out. Swimming pool De Estafette also has a sauna and tanning beds, so you can have a wonderful wellness day here after which you will feel reborn!

When the weather is nice, you can also swim outside in various places in Haarlemmermeer in the beautiful nature. For example at the Toolenburgerplas in Hoofddorp. Here you can enjoy swimming, surfing and sunbathing. The Toolenburgerplas lake is surrounded by beautiful beaches and sunbathing areas. In a number of places along the shore you can practice all kinds of other water sports in addition to swimming. You can dive in the Toolenburgerplas, but also sup and surf to your heart's content.

In Badhoevedorp you will find swimming pool De Sporthoeve. In this modern indoor swimming pool you can enjoy all kinds of fun water activities: from disco swimming to a spicy aqua boot camp. You can also swim laps at your own pace to stay fit. Children can also celebrate their birthday in De Sporthoeve swimming pool! How about an afternoon of mermaid swimming with mermaid tails, or swimming underwater with cool underwater scooters? This way, your kids are guaranteed to have an unforgettable birthday!

Another place to swim outdoors in nature in Haarlemmermeer is the Haarlemmermeerse Bos. This beautiful recreation area is 115 hectares and is located around the recreational lake northwest of Hoofddorp. In the summer, children can enjoy endless water fun in the Spartel pond. Adults can also use the water when the weather is nice: the Haarlemmermeerse Bos has an extra swimming area on the South Beach in addition to the Spartelvijver. The quality of the water is regularly checked for blue-green algae, so that you can swim safely here and enjoy the beautiful nature without any worries.
