11 Bar & kitchen: Success tastes better together

If you walk along the Kruisweg in Hoofddorp, you cannot miss the green parasols on the spacious terrace of 11 Bar & Kitchen. Inside the former bank office, the space is striking: a high ceiling with neon lighting, a cool interior design by ESTIDA, an interior designer, with a long bar and cozy tables. Since October 11, 2023, the restaurant/grand café has stood for accessible enjoyment of good food and drinks.

Grand Cafe

The umbrella organization of 11 Bar & Kitchen is BenKom Group. Rob Leemker is one of the four owners. Together with his partners he runs a number of restaurants and hotels. “What kind of restaurant is this? We see it as a grand café where you come together for a snack and a drink. We also serve lunch and dinner. We try to do it just a little differently. For example, we prepare many of our dishes on a Mibrasa grill that is fired with charcoal. If you order sea bream from us, you will receive a whole fish on your plate. Our carpaccio is not with Parmesan cheese, but with Old Amsterdam. The sauces are homemade, so they taste slightly different. All our food is of course fresh.”

For the neighborhood

The approach of 11 Bar & Kitchen? Rob Leemker: “Everything we do here, we do for the neighborhood. We keep high quality affordable. People who walk by here must think: 'Hey, I'm coming in here for a snack and a drink'. City, modern with a hip look. Everyone is welcome here. Families with children come to eat here and people meet up here to catch up with friends. We focus on people over 20.”

Tap your own beer

You will find the beer tables at the back of the shop. Rob: “That really is a perfect place for a night out with your friends. Those tables have a tap, which you rent per liter of beer. Here you can tap your own beer. It doesn't stop there. Guests can enjoy group dinners and drinks in the restaurant and at the beer tables. You can celebrate your birthday here. Companies organize a networking drink or a company party. We have screens in the back. There you can watch Formula 1 together or a Champions League match. A lot is possible, we are open to a lot.”

Meeting place in Hoofddorp

Every day is different at 11 Bar & Kitchen. “It really is a meeting place. Hoofddorp is actually a village where many residents know each other. It often happens that people who walk in here experience an unplanned first-class evening because of the friends they meet here. It is often very busy, but that does not make it overcrowded. We are very proud of what we have achieved here. With BenKom Group we continue to develop catering in Hoofddorp and the region. Creating something together. We stand for fun and conviviality.
