UNESCO World Heritage

The 19th century fort in Vijfhuizen is a UNESCO monument and well preserved. With the two other forts in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer, it forms part of the Defense of Amsterdam. On the fort island you will find unique spaces including the casemate and spice shed. Next the art fortress Various artists have their studios on the island. Since 2023 you will also find Fort 5 here. The location in relation to the sun also makes the terrace a popular place for a drink in the summer months. An oasis of peace and greenery.

Your drinks, party, wedding, dinner, team outing, trade fair, conference or even festival will be one you will never forget. The fort is centrally located, has ample parking and there is room for all your guests. Inside there is capacity for up to 525 guests and outside for as many as 1500! In addition, Brasserie Fort 5 provides tailor-made catering, entirely to your taste and using local and sustainable ingredients. What else do you want?

Qeet shares local flavors!

Fort 5 has been owned by the Utrecht company Qeet since 2023. The mission of Qeet, and therefore also of Fort 5, is to provide a different experience at the table based on local flavors and mainly vegetarian cuisine. Fort 5 works with local flavors from the neighborhood. Food and drinks travel an average of 30.000 kilometers before they reach your plate or are in your glass. Normally our food and drinks come from all over the world. It is the mission of Qeet and therefore also of Fort 5 to limit this to 30 kilometers. That's quite a statement. Qeet wants to shape this by working together as much as possible with local entrepreneurs. Fort 5's standard when serving fish or meat is that animals have had a good life and come exclusively from the Netherlands, the North Sea or Dutch rivers.
