The Farm Kitchen Hoofddorp: Your lunch straight from the farmer

The Farm Kitchen is a lunch restaurant at Hoofddorp station. Here the ingredients come directly from the farmer. The restaurant was founded by vegetable chef Jonathan Karpathios. For years he had been the driving force behind Vork & Mes in Hoofddorp. Five days a week you can have lunch in the beautiful Feng Shui interior. Lunch at The Farm Kitchen is the ideal energy generator for your working day!

Philosophy Jonathan Karpathios  

The Farm Kitchen team has a whole philosophy at their restaurant. They get all ingredients directly from a farmer within a radius of only 20 kilometers. For example, 12 ingredients already come from Nieuw-Vennep. Founder Jonathan Karpathios already used this concept at his previous restaurant in Hoofddorp. Shorter food chains mean less CO2 emissions and ingredients stay super fresh. The Farm Kitchen was a pop-up restaurant but now an established name! 

Feng Shui interior 

The Farm Kitchen has a second philosophy, namely that healthy and nutritious food is important for your energy during your working day. Eating well will make you function better. You are more productive and sharper! The Farm Kitchen is therefore located opposite Hoofddorp Station where many companies are located. The ideal break and place to have lunch with your colleagues or relations. The Eastern teaching of Feng Shui has been implemented in the interior of The Farm Kitchen. That is why you see many round shapes and natural materials such as bamboo in the restaurant. There is a lot of light through the large windows and plants literally give the rooms air.

You will find seven types of dishes on the buffets of The Farm Kitchen. You can choose from wraps, soups, salads, juices, pizzas, sandwiches or a hot meal. The ingredients change seasonally and depend on what the farmers offer. Popular is the salad bar where you put together your own salad. You choose the carbohydrates such as couscous or quinoa, then the lettuce and then you add the fresh vegetables, spreads and seeds. You always have a nutritious and pure salad to your own taste!

The Farm Kitchen is the driving force behind the competitive The New Generation Chef. With this they train young talent to cook in a new innovative way with attention to the earth. Such as with vegetable ingredients that come directly from the farmer. You can also regularly see the talents at work in The Farm Kitchen so that they make flying hours there.
