TIJNES was founded by Martijn and Ester, a passionate duo who always wanted to give Hoofddorp a pleasant meeting place. A place where everyone feels welcome and radiates nostalgia. Located in what was once the sports canteen of the Fanny Blankers Koen Hal, TIJNES now offers a beautiful place with a green terrace where you forget that you are in busy Hoofddorp. Guests are welcomed with open arms and there is always room for a chat. Children can run around in the party room and have a great time! Martijn, born and raised in Hoofddorp, thinks it's fantastic that people find the restaurant to meet each other. “Everyone is welcome and we radiate that,” he says.

Good food for a fair price

At TIJNES you can enjoy complete, tasty dishes without any fuss from Thursday to Sunday. Local vegetables, meat from the butcher and homemade fries from a local farmer provide an unforgettable taste experience. “We do everything ourselves, so we can guarantee quality,” says Martijn. TIJNES focuses on good value for money and transparency. This way you always know where you stand. Just have a nice bite to eat for a nice price.

Schnitzel Thursday is a popular event that people come to TIJNES especially for. For only €16 you can enjoy a delicious fresh schnitzel. And in the summer, many people come especially for the barbecue evenings on the green terrace.

With room for up to 350 people, there is plenty of room for all your friends, family or colleagues. Together with Ester, his wife and hostess, Martijn runs TIJNES with passion and pleasure. The couple, who have been married for 17 years, form a close-knit team and radiate this in everything they do. TIJNES is always looking for sincere and motivated employees to strengthen their team. They believe in working together and supporting each other. Martijn and Ester are not afraid to roll up their sleeves and expect the same from their team.
