Incubator GinDS Hoofddorp: Artists incubator Genie in the Defense Line

GinDS is part of the Defense Line of Amsterdam. Part of the defense line on the Geniedijk has been restored by the Stadsherstel of Hoofddorp. Meurkens & Meurkens has given it a new destination: a cultural breeding ground. GinDS is an abbreviation for 'Genie in De Stelling'. Various artists are at work at GinDS. Together with the battery and the ammunition bunkers, the building now has a cultural, artistic and creative function.

There are now ten different tenants at GinDS. All these tenants fill their place in the cultural breeding ground. We would like to introduce a number of these tenants to you.

As an artist, Anne-Greet List is inspired by the ways in which humans, animals and plants go their own way. She also gives workshops! Together with Anne-Greet you will work with your hands. This way your head can relax for a while!

You will also find the Brotherhood4Real Foundation in GinDS. They stimulate young people in the run-up to the stage and a first exhibition. Together they develop and facilitate extraordinary talents in the field of art and culture in the broadest sense of the word. They are making great strides both artistically and substantively. This is how (world) music, art and media will arise again in the future!
