The Shack: music café with live performances in Oude Meer

The origin of The Shack  

The old owners of Rockcafé Simple in De Kwakel started The Shack after the heyday of 1987 to 1999. Since 2006 live music has been on the agenda every month. At first the performances were always in changing places and there was no fixed location, but now you will find the music café in Oude Meer under the smoke of Amsterdam. This is a stage where The Shack organizes regular live music evenings. There is also a terrace where games are played in the summer and where visitors can enjoy music, sun and a snack and a drink. Berry and Rian are the owners and live music is their greatest passion!

Program The Shack  

Do you choose blues, a tribute band or cover session? There is always something in The Shack's agenda that appeals to you. You must of course reserve a ticket for these band evenings. The price varies from about €15 to €20.  

Location The Shack 

You can find The Shack on the Schipholdijk in Oude Meer. There is sufficient parking space for both cars and bicycles in the vicinity of the music café. In addition, the café is also easily accessible by public transport. Bus 181 to and from Schiphol stops around the corner.
