Palènpa Park in Nieuw-Vennep: building endless huts
The goal of Palènpa hut construction park
Children go outside less and less and are increasingly behind a screen. At Palènpa Park, children are challenged. They are encouraged to play freely and this contributes to their physical, mental and social development. For a good cabin you have to think creatively and smartly. You have to work together with brothers, sisters or friends. Of course mom or dad can help. And you are also busy in the open air!
How do you build huts?
The huts that children will build themselves consist of short and long poles. In addition, there are different panels for the walls and roof. With simple connections of bolts and wing nuts, children put the huts together in a short time. There are low cabins (1,20 meters) and high towers (2,40 meters). These are connected by bridges. There are also ladders that you place in or outside the huts. The cabins are made of planed, smooth wood that feels nice. The great thing about these huts is that no hazardous material, such as a saw, needs to be used. That makes Palènpa Park super child-friendly!
Building huts at a children's party
You can build with ten children plus supervisors per building lot. Are you with more children? Then you can rent multiple lots. You book a lot for 3,5 hours. There is a special one for the supervisors instruction video made. Let the anticipation begin! During the children's party it is allowed to bring your own food and drinks, but there is also an option to order food and drinks at Palènpa Park.
Palènpa Park open every day during school holidays
From April 16 to October 30, the hut building park is open on Wednesday afternoons, Saturdays and Sundays. During the school holidays, Palènpa Park is open six days a week to come and build. You can then choose a morning part or an afternoon part. Please note: Palènpa is still closed during the Christmas and crocus holidays, because it is too cold then.
