Bennebroeker Route – 3,9 KM

This route owes its name to the history of Zwaanshoek. Before the reclamation of Haarlemmermeer, Zwaanshoek was still part of the Bennebroekerbuurt. The village is now one of the greenest centers of the municipality. Ideal for walking. The starting point of this route is on the Boseilandenpad in Zwaanshoek. During this walking route you walk through the quiet Zwaanshoek and along the ring canal.

Lisserbroek Route – 5,8 KM

Let this route guide you along the Ringvaart over the Lisserdijk and explore Lisserbroek. On a beautiful sunny day you can enjoy boats sailing on the Ringvaart and you can admire the beautiful greenery of Lisserbroek with a nice sun.

Main shipping route – 7,5 KM

Fancy a brisk walk? Then this is the ideal choice for you! This route takes you through the impressive polder landscapes that the municipality of Haarlemmermeer has to offer. You walk from Abbenes along the Hoofdvaart direction Nieuw Vennep. Along the way you will pass a farm and country store Elizabeth Hoeve where you can buy fresh products from the farmer. Then you come by Estate De Olmenhorst. Here you can also buy fresh products. In the restaurant you can also eat well and recharge for the rest of the walk.

Geniedijkroute – 5,7 KM

This beautiful route leads you over the Geniedijk along nature reserves Green Wealth, Haarlemmermeer forest en Plesman corner. The Geniedijk is part of the Defense Line of Amsterdam and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage. The chance that you encounter sheep or cows is high! They keep the grass of the dike short for a large part of the year.

Calatrava Route – 7,7 KM

During this route, admire the beautiful Calatravaburg in Nieuw-Vennep, Landgoed de Kleine Vennep and the heart of Nieuw-Vennep. The iconic bridge you pass, the Harp, is one of three bridges in Haarlemmermeer designed by Santiago Calatrava. A beautiful work of art during the day, but at night when the lamps illuminate the sky, the bridge is even more impressive.

Unwind completely during this walk through the polder landscape that was once the Kagermeer. Stroll along the Leeghwater pumping station, the Hoofdvaart and the Ringvaart. The Kagermeer route takes you to places in your municipality that you may not have known!

Round Houtrakkerbeemden – 4,7 KM

Rondje Houtrakkerbeemden leads you over vast grass plains and through a beautiful and green nature reserve. Part of the grassy landscape floods every year. There is a very good chance that you will encounter spoonbills. These large birds love the critters that live in the brackish water. A beautiful route full of greenery and animals!

Plesman Route – 7,1 KM

Really ready for nature? Then walk the Plesman route. A large part of the most beautiful natural areas of our municipality come together in this walk. Walk via the Geniedijk through Buitenshot and Plesmanhoek and continue via the Haarlemmermeerse Bos to the Groene Weelde. A beautiful route where you see how much beauty the municipality of Haarlemmermeer has to offer.
