This exhibition takes you on a journey through different artistic landscapes, where every painting and glass object tells a unique story through its use of materials.
Romana Václavikova uses all kinds of materials in her mixed media paintings to accentuate the texture. She uses waste wood, sawdust, paper, plastic threads, soil or textiles. She calls it painting with wood.
Bert Sterk uses the glass to pour into molds of silica, plaster and fiberglass (molding) or he pours the glass into sand molds (sandcasting). And he uses glass blowing to make compositions with one or two faces. He himself says: “It's just in me, I think in portraits”.
The exhibition “Playing with natural materials” runs from Saturday April 6 to May 24 and is open on Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 17 pm. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.
