Keep It to Yourself, the third full-fledged studio album by The Tibbs, was released at the end of January 2024. The album was recorded at the Exalto Studios in Haarlem and contains 12 tracks, each of which exudes the genuine 'Tibbs sound': inspired by classic soul labels such as Stax and Motown and the New Orleans soul of Irma Thomas and Betty Harris. This record can be admired live at Cpunt Hoofddorp on June 1, 2024.
Source: cpunt.nlThe band members of The Tibbs come from the North Holland triangle of Amsterdam, Alkmaar and Hoorn. They started in 2012 with then singer Elsa Bekman by dusting off obscure Northern Soul and Memphis Soul songs and instrumentals. The need soon arose to develop his own work. From the first recordings they collaborated with producer Paul Willemsen, which resulted in the self-released EP Cleaned Out.
Since then, we have worked very hard, which has resulted in, among other things, the upcoming album. This second album with singer Roxanne will be released in early 2024.
